Is UPISplit really free?＋
Yes. Splitting, settling, receipts, and the insights dashboard are all free, with no ads.
Do all my friends need the app?＋
No. You can add members with just a name. Adding their UPI ID simply makes settling one-tap.
Does UPISplit move money itself?＋
It builds a UPI deep link and opens your UPI app (GPay/PhonePe/Paytm) pre-filled with the payee and amount. You confirm the payment there. We never touch your money.
How does 'fewest transfers' work?＋
Our engine nets everyone's balances and computes a minimal set of payments so the group settles with the least number of transactions.
Is my data safe?＋
Passwords are hashed (never stored in plain text) and your data syncs over HTTPS to our cloud backend. You can log out to remove access on a device.
Can I use it across devices?＋
Yes — sign in on another device and your groups and expenses sync down from the cloud.
What about split accuracy?＋
Splits are computed in paise and any rounding remainder is distributed, so shares always add up to the exact total.
Is Android available?＋
iPhone is available now; Android is on the roadmap.
Which currencies are supported?＋
UPISplit is built for the Indian Rupee (₹). Multi-currency is planned.
